Flipkart CEO meets AP CM Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy; Reiterates the company’s commitment to the State by building infrastructure & helping market access to under-served communities, MSMEs, farmers, through e-commerce marketplace
Flipkart Group Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy called on Hon’ble Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday to highlight Flipkart Group’s deep investment in Andhra Pradesh and apprised him of the developmental works the company has been undertaking for value generation for farmers, MSMEs sellers, artisans, kirana partners and various other ecosystem partners. The delegation from Flipkart also included Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of the Flipkart group.
Flipkart Group, through its group entities including Flipkart, Ekart, Myntra, Cleartrip and Flipkart Wholesale is creating thousands of entrepreneurship and employment opportunities across the region. Sellers from the state have an opportunity to offer products across categories including audio, grooming essentials, home improvement products and small furniture on the Flipkart marketplace, providing them access to a pan-India market and accelerating their growth potential The company also works with more than 6,000 kirana partners in the state for last-mile delivery of shipments to the customers’ doorstep.

Over the past few years, Flipkart has significantly invested in the state through its Best Price stores, making it one of the key markets for sourcing a variety of items including merchandise and grocery essentials. Currently, it has six Flipkart Wholesale Best Price stores across Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Kurnool, and Tirupati. Flipkart is also expanding its supply chain to ensure a seamless movement of shipments from the state to the other parts of the country and vice-versa.
Flipkart serves major cities in the state such as Kurnool, Anantapur, Nellore, Chittoor, Tirupati via Supermart, it’s online grocery store, giving an impetus to the farming community in the state. It also serves key areas in Vijayawada, Guntur and Vizag, helping farmers get the right price for their produce while reducing wastage and bringing quality food grains to the doorstep of millions of its customers.
The company has signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to promote the state’s Arts, Crafts, and Handloom sectors. The partnership, under the Flipkart Samarth program, enables local artisans and craftsmen from 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
