Orchids The International School – Perumbakkam launches reward program ‘Well Done Ride’

Unique program launched to motivate students and inculcate good behaviour

Chennai: Orchids The International School – Perumbakkam branch has launched a unique rewards program recently to motivate it’s students. Titled ‘Well Done Ride’, the program will recognize students in Pre-Primary classes (Nursery, Grade 1&2) for their good behaviour and help in school.

The school has launched the program to inculcate good behaviour amongst its students from their early years of schooling. Students from the Perumbakkam branch will be recognized every Thursday and given a ride in an electric car. This car was made by the school out of discarded components. The school recently recognized Grade 1 student Srilakshmi Narayana for her initiative to help her unwell friend.

Speaking on the program, T Lavanya, Principal, OIS – Perumbakkam said, “At OIS, we treat every child in a special and unique manner. The incentive program is our way of helping students understand and practice good values like kindness, empathy and selflessness. Thus, through this program we are confident that we will help our students become better human beings in the future as well.”

With the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) in mind, OIS has been providing innovative curriculum courses and learnings for students. OIS has received several recognition and accolades for its recently launched initiative, ‘Financial Literacy Program’. It has also implemented STEM education at an early stage through its Robotics Curriculum. It has recently launched new courses such as Horticulture, Astronomy and Public Speaking among others for students. The school chain has also initiated the ‘Get Fit’ to develop athletic skills in children. It has also introduced the ‘Nutri Life’ program across all its school branches to inculcate healthy food habits amongst students.
